Part Number:
SPL TRE FRS

SPL Tie Rod Ends for the GR86 / BRZ / GT86 / FR-S allows for bumpsteer adjustment by allowing the tie rod end pivot to be relocated with the use of spacers. On lowered cars, this results in less dynamic toe change (aka bumpsteer) as the suspension compresses (bump) during cornering and over rough roads, resulting in more predictable handling, less tire shoulder wear, and better stability over rough roads and track curbing.

Benefits

  • Large Range of Bumpsteer Correction
  • Lightweight: 2.22 lbs (1.0 kg) / 1.11 lbs (0.5 kg) per Side
  • Improves Steering Feel, Handling, and Stability Over Bumps, Especially While Braking/Turning
  • Reduced Front Tire Toe Wear
  • Maintenance-Free, US Made, PTFE-Lined FK Bearings

Materials

  • 6061-T6 Aluminum Turnbuckle
  • 6061-T6 Aluminum Ring Spacer (For GR86 / 2nd Gen BRZ)
  • 4140 Chromoly Steel Tapered Stud
  • 304 Stainless Steel 1/8", 1/4", and 1/2" Spacers
  • Ti-6Al-4V Titanium Jam Nut (Anodized Blue)

Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NVH)

Product NVH Rating

The SPL tie rod ends are not a significant contributor to NVH. They improve the driving experience by reducing bumpsteer on uncorrected cars.

    The good stuff

Put 'em on my bugeye uh oh. Same thread size on the inner rod to turnbuckle, same turnbuckle length as other ends I have purchased for the bugeye. Works for me, but Im not a doctor, just some guy. Only other options I could find on the market are cheap ebay crap that died after 6 months, or non adjustable ends that would leave a fair amount of bumpsteer. Replaceable ball ends are a plus. Lightweight yet heavy duty, good instructions. Big ass free sticker
